The Central Roadracing Association prides itself on our contingency and sponsorship programs. Our teams work hard year-round on working with businesses to give back to the racers! Last year our contingency sponsors awarded over $28,000 in cash, prizes, and awards! We have over 20 different programs of all types that give away cash, gear, tires, and gift cards! If you are racing... there is a program for you!

Contingency FAQ's
WHAT IS CONTINGENCY?
★ Contingency is a form of sponsorship where you sign up and agree to run either decals on your bikes or use certain products in exchange for money or credit for placing well in your classes. These are completely free to apply for and earn you some extra racing money!
HOW DO I APPLY?
★ There are contingency forms on the CRA website or at the Tech Barn each race weekend that you can fill out. Bring these forms with you when you have your bike tech’d for the weekend and have a tech inspector sign off and submit them in the Tech Barn. Please pay attention to detail! If your form is wrong, you are not eligible for payout. These forms also need to be submitted before the first race / you turn a wheel at the track for the weekend.
WHO IS ELIGIBLE?
★ Depends! Some manufacturers have specific models and years that are eligible and some companies have requirements for what class, expert v. novice, dates, or products! Check out the sponsor list on cra-mn.com for details on each sponsor or email us at contingency@cra-mn.com or contact one of the chiefs directly (contact info below)
WHY DO I WANT CONTINGENCY?
★ This is a great way for you, as a racer, to get money, prizes, shoutouts, and goodies throughout the year! It is another way to show support for the companies and people that support our sport!
I FORGOT TO SUBMIT MY FORM, BUT I WON MY RACE - NOW WHAT?
★ Unfortunately the rules are very strict. Forms must be submitted on time (before you turn a wheel on track for the weekend or the first race of the day) in order to qualify for Contingency. Please make sure you are completing the forms correctly and timely as this makes it easier for everyone.
I DIDN'T GET MY FORM SIGNED OFF BY TECH - NOW WHAT?
★ Unfortunately the rules are very clear, forms MUST be signed off by Tech correctly and on time. If you do not follow the rule, you are not eligible.
I'M NOT FAST, DO I QUALIFY?
★ YES! Everyone qualifies for at least a few contingency programs this year!!

HOW DO I GET STICKERS FOR CONTINGENCY COMPANIES?
★ Contingency will have stickers and printouts/forms at the races in the Tech Barn. This is also where you would submit your completed forms.
DO I HAVE TO PAY?
★ You do not have to pay to sign up for Contingency, but some companies require you to run their products – so you would pay for whatever products you are running. Check the 2023 Contingency Sponsors List for details on each sponsor.
