Banquet Update

Happy hour at 5pm, dinner at 6, presentation around 7. If you have not signed up, we do have a limited number of meals extra so make sure to be prompt!

Banquet preregistration will close Thursday October 27th at 8pm!

2016 Election update

Hi Members,

We’ve just concluded the 2016 Board of Directors Election, and Anna Hanson and Dawn Olsen have both been elected. First, congratulations to them both.

However, Dawn has chosen to forego her term with the Board to focus on her Steward position. Because of this, we are in a position where we will be running another election cycle.

We are seeking nominations to fill this position. If you would like to nominate someone, or feel you would be a good board member, please submit your nomination no later than November 7. Submit your nominations to:

A letter will be sent to all nominees requesting their acceptance of the nomination, and biographical information they want to share with the voters. Given the short timeline here, plus the fact that there are not many members still receiving paper ballots, we will enclose the candidate(s) biographical info with the ballots. That same info will also be available on the eVoting site.

The date of record for this election is October 18th, meaning all CRA members as of that date are eligible to vote and will receive a ballot.

Those ballots will be sent out on or about November 14th. The actual election will occur as part of the membership/Board meeting on December 6th. Ballots must be in our possession by 8:00 PM that day to be counted.

If you received a paper ballot in the previous round and would prefer eVoting, please send me (secretary@cra-mn.com) your preferred email address and I will see to it.

2016 Banquet registration

Please Please PLEASE pre-register for our annual banquet this year! It saves all sorts of headaches with getting the correct amount of food ordered for the number of people that are going to be there, as well as being cheaper online vs. at the door.

The option is in our online store, https://www.cra-mn.com/shop/

You will need an account to check out, but it is free and simple to do. This year there are 2 meal options, the standard chicken dish that comes with your banquet registration ($30), or for an additional $10 you can get the beef sirloin with blue cheese and bacon (yum!). If you have any dietary restrictions, please email Katie Champ our Chief of Hospitality (hospitality@cra-mn.com) and she can get arrangements for you.

Again, this is November 5th at the Embassy Suits in Bloomington! See you all there.

Racer individual plaque ordering

CRA Racers,

All overall, class and specialty awards will be ordered automatically and do not need to be requested.

Individual plaques to mount your podium finish engraved plates will be provided upon request this year. A $0 item has been created on the CRA store. Please request one plaque to indicate you would like to receive your individual trophies. Awards and Recognition will ensure the correct number and size of plaques is delivered.

The deadline to request individual trophies is OCTOBER 9th.

2016 Rules Forum

September Event- Donnybrooke Garages

Please reserve through the CRA Store under extras, each stall is $40 and please provide your garage and stall preference.

Updated recruiting volunteer point program!

Hi all!

In an effort to drive up membership, we have increased the volunteer point bonus system for when a new worker is recruited.

If any current member brings with a new volunteer, and that volunteer works the required 3 points (Fri = 2pt, Sat/Sun = 1pt) and then fills out their membership paperwork (make sure to list who referred you to the club), the current member will receive TEN (10!) bonus points, and the new volunteer will earn FIVE (5) extra bonus points.

Please spread the word and bring in some new people to the club!
