CRA 5k results

The Central Roadracing Association held its first annual 5K Fun Run/Walk on September 19. We had over
60 runners and walkers that participated with 15 volunteers assisting to hand out water on the course
and beer and pizza at the finish.  Together we raised over $3000 for the Matt Losen Memorial Fund!  A
special thanks to our sponsors Worldwide Machining, Moon Motorsports and racers 311 and 911.

The club also held a Chili Cook Off event on Friday September 18. There were 13 delicious chili entries in
this year’s contest. The winner will be announced this year at the banquet on November 14. The chili
cook off event raised $563 for the Matt Losen Memorial Fund.

Way to go CRA!

The end of year banquet will be on Saturday November 14th at Sundance event center in Maple Grove!

We hope to see everyone there!

PLEASE PLEASE register for the banquet ahead of time in the CRA online store – it REALLY helps us with meal planning and makes sure that everyone gets something to eat and that we don’t have to over pay also and have wasted food.

When choosing the banquet option in the cart, make sure to note there are 3 options: chicken, shrimp, and beef.  If you have any special dietary restrictions we have a 4th option you can choose, but please follow up with an email to hospitality@cra-mn.com

Thanks!

July Results and Tire Contingency

Posted: July 27, 2015 by Contingency in Announcements

July Contingency Tire Results are available.  Please have a look at the results and your tire sponsorship and let us know if there’s an issue.  As usual, highlighted results are the ones that we believe qualify for payout from Bridgestone and Dunlop.  We’d like to send in results to the manufacture by the end of the week on 7/31.

As many from Dunlop have not received payment, we asked again for confirmation that the results are in their hands and posted and I received a reply last week that May and June should have all been processed and released.  If you don’t see those in the next several business days, please let us know.

Storm damage UPDATE

Posted: July 14, 2015 by President in Announcements

WE ARE RACING!

I just got off the phone with our CRA officials at the track who are working with track staff to assess the situation.  They said we have power to the critical components we need to operate and that the track surface is free of damage.

That said – there is considerable storm damage to the Donnybrooke paddock (mostly in the grassy/wooded area where people camp).  Please be aware when arriving this weekend that there will still be some damage we need to stay away from, and to alter your camping situation appropriately.

There is a large contingent of volunteers at the track that arrived yesterday cleaning up storm damage.  My understanding is they are focusing on the Donnybrooke paddock to keep our event on the Donnybrooke course.
