Attention June New Riders

Attention to all 2012 CRA June New Riders, scheduling update as follows:

June New Riders that did not attend the classroom portion at MotoPrimo this past March must report to the track side classroom at 7am Friday, June 15th.

If you are a June New Rider that did attend the classroom this past March, you need to report to the track side classroom at 8:30 am June 15th, however if you would like a complete review of the March classroom you are welcome to come at 7am also.

If you took the New rider classroom portion either this past March at MotoPrimo or this past May at the track and were not able to complete any or all the on track portion requirements, you will need to complete this before you’re a licensed racer even if you were given your race license. This includes participation in the new rider race, reasons for not completing the on track portion may have been a mechanical breakdown, etc. If you are one of these new riders then you need to report to the classroom at 8:30 am Friday June 15th.

June New Riders Instructors please report to the track side classroom at 9am for student assignment.

It is important that all involved, both students and instructors be on time so we can stay on schedule. On behalf of Nick and myself, Thank you.

Two Rider/Racer Meetings Friday June 15th

Hello fellow CRA Racers,

We will be adjusting our rider/racer meeting schedule for the June race weekend to more appropriately accommodate the “Half Day” Friday practice. This idea is another step forward to increasing safety for the racers and workers. It will also allow the “clipboard” to be passed around a second time in the afternoon for incoming half day riders to sign. Please be aware of the following meeting times:

Riders meeting 1: 6/15/2012 9:30AM at the band shell in the competition course paddock area

Riders meeting 2: 6/15/2012 12:45PM at the band shell in the competition course paddock area

Just a small update to the post below:

1) There are now 2 down payment options, you can choose either $200 or $400.  But you must choose one or the other.

2) The down payment options are found on the home page under featured products (middle of screen if you scroll down)

You will receive an email sometime before the race weekend if you have a balance due at the track.  Please be patient!  We have to do this outside of our FT jobs!  If you have questions about if your order was received, you can always email us to ask!

2012-Pre-Registration-Instructions (1)

Just a reminder about how pre-registration for double sprint weekends works…

1) Make sure when choosing your races, you are paying attention to if they are Sat or Sun. The races will be labeled appropriately.

2) There is separate pricing for Sat and Sun. If you race both days, you will get even more of a discount the 2nd day. The price structure is listed below.

3) Since our “shopping cart” can not handle this pricing structure, you will be required to make a down payment for your pre-registration. This will be $200. You will pay the remaining balance at the track before racing. MAKE SURE TO SELECT THE DOWN PAYMENT OPTION, it will be found under the “extras” menu on the left. If you do not select this, your order will appear as $0. Check your balance before you select check out.   If your order totals less than the $200 deposit, you will be refunded the difference.

4) You will receive an email within a few days of your pre-registration indicating the balance due at the track.

5) You are responsible for the balance even if you don’t race, just as if you would have paid it all up front on a normal weekend’s pre-reg. Cancellations BEFORE deadline are acceptable. AFTER deadline you have to fill out a refund form that goes before the BoD. So, expect to pay the balance.

1st day pricing (Sat, or Sun if you don’t race Sat)
1 sprint: $40
2nd: $35
3rd: $30
4th and more: $25

2nd day pricing (for Sun, only if you race a min of 3 races Sat)
1 sprint: $35
2nd: $25
3rd: $20
4th and more: $15

Transponder Rental Fee Reduced

The CRA Board has taken a close look at AMB’s new transponder rental plan ($150/year) and we have made adjustments to our transponder pricing as a result. Starting with the May weekend, transponders can be rented for $35/weekend. That’s right, for only $5 more per weekend than AMB’s plan, the fantastic CRA staff will have your transponder charged and waiting for you at registration.

We thank the anonymous CRA IT Director that brought us this information and you can thank him (or her) during the May weekend!

2012 MNSBR New Rider Contingency

MNSBR is offering contingency again for the 2012 season. We will be paying out for the May, June, July, and August New Rider Races!

Any new racer competing in the May, June, July, or August New Rider Race to compete for MNSBR contingency.

MNSBR Contingency prizes will be paid by check after the event.

1st PLACE Ultralight/Lightweight (combined) = $75.00* – 1st PLACE Middleweight/Heavyweight (combined) = $75.00*
2nd PLACE Ultralight/Lightweight (combined) = $50.00* – 2nd PLACE Middleweight/Heavyweight (combined) = $50.00*
3rd PLACE Ultralight/Lightweight (combined) = $25.00* – 3rd PLACE Middleweight/Heavyweight (combined) = $25.00*
*To pay to 1st place, there must be 3 riders in each class. To pay 2nd place, there must be 5 racers in each class.
To pay 3rd place, there must be 6 racers in each class

Requirements:
1. MNSBR Decals MUST be displayed on both sides of the motorcycle.
2. Racer MUST list MNSBR as a sponsor.
3. Racer MUST be a member of MNSBR and list their screen name on this form.
4. Racer MUST fill out and sign this form at their new rider race event.
5. Racer MUST turn this form and the CRA Tech Form into Tech Inspection BEFORE the start of the New Rider Race.

We will have stickers and forms at the track, but as always, filling them out ahead of time speeds things up. YOU MUST FILL OUT THE CRA TECH FORM AND THE MNSBR FORM AND THEY MUST BE TURNED IN PRIOR TO THE START OF THE NEW RIDER RACE! We were very lenient last year and we can not do that again.
